RFB-201-25 KSU - Chandler Hall Renovation

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is issuing this Request for Bid (RFB-201-25) for the renovation of Chandler Hall at Kentucky State University, located in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Chandler Hall is a four-story dormitory originally built in 1938 and previously renovated in 1977 and 1993. The goal of this renovation project is to comprehensively overhaul the building to enhance its performance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, overall functionality, aesthetics, and ensure full accessibility.

Work Details
The renovation will include:
- Complete gutting and rebuilding of dorm rooms, restrooms, and common areas;
- Ensuring compliance with ADA standards;
- Updating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including installation of new fan coil units, dedicated outside air system, ductwork, and controls;
- Refurbishment of the elevator;
- Replacement of all interior finishes to create a modern living environment.

The project also includes site visit meetings for interested contractors.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence upon award and continue until project completion. Specific dates are subject to the bidding process.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Chandler Hall, Kentucky State University, located at 223 University Dr., Frankfort, Kentucky.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit their bids electronically through the Commonwealth’s eProcurement system. Bidders are required to be registered in the Commonwealth eProcurement System via the Vendor Self Service (VSS) System. All bids must include an Official Bid Document and any required bid bonds as a single combined attachment.
