Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Department of Juvenile Justice, is seeking bids for improvements to the Hopkinsville Group Home. The project aims to enhance the facility's accessibility and functionality, aligning with the agency's mission to provide a safe and supportive environment for youth in their care.

Work Details
The contract involves two main volumes of work:

Volume One includes the addition of an ADA accessible toilet and laundry room, removal of one office, and creation of two new offices within the existing Group Home facility. This addition will be a wood-framed structure on a slab with finishes including painted gypsum board and ceramic tile. A larger primary entrance door will be installed for ADA compliance, and the existing PTAC unit will be replaced with a VRF system for HVAC needs.

Volume Two consists of two work areas:

- Work Area 1 involves excavation and installation of a new drainage area/trench behind the existing facilities, including earthwork, storm piping installation, concrete headwall, and drainage rock.
- Work Area 2 includes removal of the existing asphalt entrance and installation of a new one, which encompasses earthwork, paving, new storm piping installation, guardrails, and concrete headwalls.

Period of Performance
The solicitation was issued on March 7, 2025, with an official bid date moved to April 2, 2025. The exact period for performance is expected to follow after contract award.

The work will be performed at the Hopkinsville Group Home located at 2625 Madisonville Road, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
