RFB-129-25 EDU FFA Camp HVAC Replacement

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, is issuing this Request for Bid (RFB-129-25) for the HVAC Replacement at the FFA Leadership Center Recreation Hall.

The project aims to enhance the mechanical, electrical, and architectural systems of the facility to improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

Work Details
The project involves comprehensive HVAC renovations including:

1. Mechanical Work: Removal of existing window air conditioning units and floor finned tube radiators. Installation of a new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system with two wall-mounted indoor units per classroom and three fan coil units in the recreation hall. Exterior condensing units will be installed in two locations to minimize piping distance. A VRF monitoring system will be integrated with the campus Building Automation System (BAS).

2. Electrical Work: Replacement of the existing panelboard for safety and reliability. Upgrading existing fluorescent lighting to LED fixtures, enhancing aesthetics and reducing operational costs. Installation of new exterior lighting and updated lighting controls to meet current code requirements. A new voice evacuation fire alarm system will be installed due to non-compliance of the existing system.

3. Architectural Work: Replacement of existing windows and doors to improve thermal comfort and energy efficiency while maintaining the building's aesthetic integrity.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award and continue until project completion, with specific timelines detailed in subsequent documents.

The work will be performed at the FFA Leadership Center Recreation Hall located at 111 FFA Camp Road, Hardinsburg, KY 40143.
