RFB-118-25 High voltage maintenance/repair Bluegrass Station

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is issuing this solicitation for high voltage maintenance and repair services at Bluegrass Station, Lexington, KY. The mission of the agency is to maintain state-owned buildings, many of which are older structures requiring ongoing electrical repair and maintenance. The goal of this contract is to engage a qualified, licensed vendor to perform necessary high voltage maintenance and electrical repairs to ensure the safety and functionality of these facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, and expertise necessary for high voltage maintenance and electrical repair at Bluegrass Station. This includes work on high voltage switchgear, pad-mounted transformers, and pole-mounted transformers. Specific tasks include inspecting, repairing, and replacing electrical poles, high lines, transformers, and switchgears as per the specifications outlined in the solicitation.

The vendor must also provide proposals with quotes for each job prior to commencement. Repairs are to be performed during regular working hours (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM EST) unless otherwise approved. The contractor must adhere to the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and National Electric Code (NEC) standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon approval of the delivery order for each job and is expected to continue as needed based on service requests from Bluegrass Station.

All work will be performed at Bluegrass Station located at 5751 Briar Hill Road, Lexington, KY 40516-9721.
