Work Details
The contractor will supply various types of ready mix concrete including:
- Class A Concrete with Natural Sand (with and without Fly Ash)
- Class AA Concrete (with and without Fly Ash)
- Class B Concrete with Natural Sand (with and without Fly Ash)
- Class M Concrete
- Flowable Fill for Pipe Backfill
- Flowable Fill for Bridge End Bent Backfill
- Grout
- Hot Water
- Ice
- Non-Chloride Accelerator 1%
- Super-Plasticizer
- Various sizes of concrete blocks (2x2x2, 2x2x4, 2x2x6) for specific applications such as bank stabilization and barrier walls.
The contractor must adhere to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Delivery is required to any point within the counties specified in the bid response. The vendor must also provide a bid sheet detailing unit prices per specified unit of measure.
Period of Performance
The initial contract period will begin no earlier than May 1, 2026, and expire on April 30, 2027. There is an option to extend the contract for four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within various counties in Kentucky as specified in individual delivery orders issued by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
