Painting Services

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Finance and Administration Cabinet, is issuing this solicitation for Painting Services to establish a Master Agreement. The goal is to provide necessary painting services for various projects at the Kentucky Horse Park, ensuring that all work meets the required standards and specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing painting services including:
- Preparing surfaces through cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking off adjacent surfaces prior to painting.
- Removing old paint as necessary.
- Priming surfaces if required.
- Applying two coats of paint to ensure uniform coverage.
- Finishing edges and corners in a professional manner.

Specific projects include:
1. Interior Painting (102,968 SQFT)
2. Exterior Painting (10,000 SQFT)
3. Pressure Washing (140,000 SQFT) to remove old paint from the roof of the Covered Arena.

Additional anticipated projects include painting various areas within the Kentucky Horse Park such as:
- Covered Arena (69,450 sq ft)
- North Hall All-Tech Arena (20,400 sq ft)
- Equine Operations (1,170 sq ft)
- Iron Works Restaurant (9,068 sq ft)
- Tack and Farrier Shop (2,880 sq ft).

The vendor must supply all consumables like rollers, brushes, drop cloths, tape, paint sprayers, and PPE for employees.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will be for one year from the date of award with potential extensions for four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Kentucky Horse Park located at 4089 Ironworks Parkway, Lexington, KY 40511.
