Model Lab School - Site Preparation

Background
Eastern Kentucky University is seeking bids for site preparation work for the new Model Lab School. The project aims to prepare the land for the construction of the school, which is part of the university's commitment to enhancing educational facilities.

Work Details
The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the site preparation project as outlined in the solicitation documents. This encompasses excavation services and general contracting as specified in commodity codes FSC10010 (General Contractor) and TRS10020 (Trade Services - Excavation Services).

The project has an engineer's estimate of $6,950,000.00 and requires completion within 95 calendar days for substantial completion and 125 calendar days for final completion after the issuance of a written purchase order.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period starting immediately after the award of contract and issuance of a written purchase order. Substantial completion is expected within 95 calendar days and final completion within 125 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Eastern Kentucky University’s Richmond, KY Campus.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in Eastern Kentucky University's eProcurement system to participate in this solicitation. Bid bonds and performance bonds are required unless otherwise stated. Additionally, bidders must complete various prerequisites including providing a current ACORD certificate of insurance and submitting documentation related to campaign finance laws and workers' compensation.
