Background
The Kentucky State Fair Board (KSFB) is an independent municipal corporation responsible for producing major events such as the Kentucky State Fair and the World’s Championship Horse Show. The KSFB seeks qualified proposals from contractors to provide exclusive catering services at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), which hosts a variety of events, including conventions and trade shows.

The goal is to enhance tourism and agriculture in Kentucky by providing high-quality food and beverage services.

Work Details
The selected Operator will manage and operate a comprehensive catering program that includes full food and beverage services for various events such as meetings, receptions, VIP functions, show floor booths, suites, and banquets. The Operator must cater to events of all sizes, offering a diverse range of culinary options that highlight local ingredients. Responsibilities include:
- Exclusive rights to provide banquet operations at designated locations within KEC.
- Execution of catering services for six annual KSFB-managed shows.
- Development of innovative catering concepts to increase sales volume.
- Management of inventory and equipment provided by KSFB.
- Conducting client satisfaction surveys and addressing performance issues promptly.
- Compliance with sustainability practices and local sourcing preferences.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is five years from the effective date of the award, with options for two additional five-year renewals upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Kentucky Exposition Center located in Louisville, Kentucky.
