Background
The Kentucky State Fair Board (KSFB) is an independent municipal corporation of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, responsible for producing major events such as the Kentucky State Fair and the World’s Championship Horse Show. The KSFB seeks qualified contractors to provide exclusive catering services at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), which is the largest meeting facility in Kentucky, hosting a variety of events.

This solicitation aims to enhance catering operations to support both internal events and external clients, thereby boosting tourism and agriculture in the region.

Work Details
The selected Operator will manage and operate a comprehensive catering program that includes full food and beverage services for various functions such as meetings, receptions, VIP events, show floor booths, suites, and banquets. The Operator must cater to events of varying sizes and offer a diverse culinary experience using local ingredients. Responsibilities include:
- Exclusive rights to provide banquet operations at specified locations within KEC.
- Execution of catering services for six major annual KSFB shows.
- Development of innovative catering concepts to enhance client satisfaction.
- Management of all personnel involved in catering operations, including hiring, training, and supervision.
- Maintenance of high standards in food quality and customer service.
- Conducting client satisfaction surveys and providing feedback reports to KSFB.
- Compliance with sustainability practices and local sourcing of products where possible.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is five years from the effective date of award, with options for two additional five-year renewals upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Kentucky Exposition Center located at 937 Phillips Lane, Louisville, KY 40209.
