KDFWR - F1 Hybrid Largemouth Bass / Florida Bass Stocking

Background
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) is seeking to establish a Master Agreement for the stocking of F1 Hybrid Largemouth Bass / Florida Bass. This initiative aims to enhance fish populations in Paintsville Lake, located in Johnson County, Kentucky, as part of the agency's mission to manage and conserve the state's fish and wildlife resources.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for transporting and delivering 5,000 live F1 Hybrid Largemouth Bass / Florida Bass, measuring between 4-8 inches, for stocking purposes. The delivery must occur at Paintsville Lake during a preferred timeframe of October 1-15, 2025. The vendor must ensure that the fish are first-generation hybrids resulting from a cross between Largemouth Bass (Micropterus nigricans) and Florida Bass (Micropterus salmoides). Additionally, the vendor must possess all necessary state and federal permits for transporting and stocking live fish. A subsample will be collected by KDFWR to confirm that at least 95% of the delivered fish are F1 hybrids.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will last for one year from the date of award, with options for four additional one-year renewals upon mutual agreement.

The delivery location is Paintsville Lake, Johnson County, Kentucky.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess all applicable state and federal permits for transporting live fish. They should have experience in fish transportation and stocking operations. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents.
