Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Education and Labor Cabinet, is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services for the Library & Archives Records Building. The mission of the agency is to maintain a clean and presentable environment for its facilities, supporting operations related to library and archival services.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all floors, offices, and restroom facilities within the 1,755 sq. ft. Library & Archives Records Building located at 1425 Leestown Road, Frankfort, KY 40601. Specific tasks include:
- Emptying all trashcans
- Sweeping floors
- Washing and waxing floors as necessary
- Cleaning and stocking all restroom facilities.
Cleaning services are required to be provided twice weekly, with the vendor coordinating the cleaning schedule with an agency contact. The agency will provide consumable supplies such as toilet paper and hand soap, while the contractor must supply all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
Period of Performance
The contract period is from October 15, 2024, through June 30, 2025. There is an option to extend the contract for one additional year upon completion of the initial period.
