Insurance Medical Claims

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through its Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP 758 2500000058) for Insurance Medical Claims (IMC).
The goal of this contract is to establish a framework for the processing of medical claims efficiently and effectively, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while enhancing the quality of health services provided to Kentuckians.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for processing medical claims, which includes:
1. Cost per Completed Claim: Vendors must provide a cost proposal that includes all costs associated with providing services. A 'Completed Claim' is defined as ready for payment or closed with no further action required.
2. Electronic eligibility submission and response to the clearinghouse must be included at no additional cost to CHFS.
3. Vendors are encouraged to propose innovative practices and value-added services that could enhance the success of CHFS in managing medical claims.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will span five years, with optional one-year renewal periods available for years six, seven, and eight.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
