Background
The University of Kentucky is seeking a qualified construction management firm to provide full-service construction management for the Pediatric Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Clinic Capital Project. This project aims to renovate approximately 11,000 square feet of clinical space in the Warren Wright Medical Plaza to support the expansion of Pediatric ENT services, which has seen a 47% growth in volume over the past two years.
The renovation will include the design and construction of exam rooms, procedure rooms, audiology booths, and associated support spaces. The total project budget is approximately $6,424,000, with a maximum construction budget of $3,395,000.
Work Details
The selected Construction Manager (CM) will be responsible for:
- Providing full-service construction management including preconstruction services.
- Assisting in the design and construction phases to ensure completion within budget and schedule.
- Managing all construction contracts and overseeing the renovation work which includes:
- Design and construction of exam rooms and procedure rooms.
- Installation of audiology booths and necessary support spaces.
- Removal of outdated medical equipment and installation of new equipment.
- Infrastructure upgrades and interior finishes to meet current healthcare standards.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue through the completion of the project phases as defined in the RFP.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Warren Wright Medical Plaza located in Lexington, Kentucky.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be legally entitled to enter into contracts with the University of Kentucky and comply with all applicable laws including KRS 45A.330 to .340 regarding conflict of interest. Bidders must also be registered with the Kentucky Department of Revenue for tax purposes.
