Image Capture Solution for Endoscopy

Background
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the University of Kentucky Information Technology Services to gather information from qualified businesses capable of providing a software solution for capturing endoscopic images. The goal is to find a vendor-neutral solution that addresses the current limitations of their existing image capture system, which relies on expensive and unreliable devices.

Work Details
The solution must support image capture from any vendor’s endoscopy scope, including those that do not support modality worklists, image capture, and DICOM sending. Key requirements include:

- Capability to capture high-quality still images and ideally video during endoscopic procedures.
- Support for image acquisition with worklists that are both order-based and/or ADT, enabling manual or automated workflows for associating patient metadata.
- Integration with Epic Lumens in an XDS format and archiving to a Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) in standard DICOM format.
- Flexibility to operate in environments with limited network capabilities or devices with constrained interoperability features.
- A user-friendly interface for clinicians to manually tag or reconcile studies when modality worklist is unavailable.

The contract will be performed at the University of Kentucky, located in Lexington, KY.
