Work Details
The selected broker will provide comprehensive services including:
- Collaborating with the Human Resources Coordinator on the employee benefits strategic plan.
- Financial forecasting, budget planning, and renewal planning support.
- Benchmarking plan costs, vendor arrangements, and performance against similar municipalities.
- Assisting with administration of all group insurance and employee benefit plans.
- Implementing new programs and changes to existing programs.
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits.
- Providing consultative support throughout the year.
- Coordinating with carriers and vendors to resolve issues affecting benefit programs.
- Monitoring legal developments affecting employee benefits and advising on compliance obligations.
- Reviewing claims experience and financial results to ensure maximum value for the City.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to last for an initial term of three (3) years, with up to two (2) optional one-year renewals based on satisfactory performance.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed in Newport, Kentucky at the City’s Municipal Building located at 998 Monmouth Street.
