Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Finance and Administration Cabinet, Department for Facilities and Support Services, is issuing this solicitation to establish a Master Agreement for Elevator and Wheelchair Lift Maintenance and Repairs.
This contract aims to ensure the safe and efficient operation of elevators, dumbwaiters, and wheelchair lifts across various state-owned facilities, which are crucial for daily operations involving numerous employees and guests.
Work Details
The contractor will provide full maintenance services for elevators, dumbwaiters, and wheelchair lifts. This includes:
- Regular inspections (at least once a month) of all equipment with necessary routine maintenance repairs and replacements.
- Maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Provision of all supplies, materials, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary for maintenance services.
- Monthly logs for all equipment must be maintained in appropriate locations.
- The contractor must provide testing and inspections required by the State Elevator Inspector at no additional cost.
- All replacement parts must be authorized by the manufacturer or meet industry standards.
- The contractor is responsible for maintaining original performance specifications of the equipment.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue until January 28, 2025. The bid opening date has been modified to February 4, 2025.
