Electrical and Lighting Materials

Background
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, known as the Horse Capital of the World, is issuing this Invitation to Bid #143-2025 for Electrical and Lighting Materials. The Division of Procurement aims to procure necessary materials to support its operations while adhering to environmental standards. Additionally, it promotes economic inclusion through the participation of minority and women-owned businesses.

Work Details
The contract involves providing electrical and lighting materials as specified in the bid documents. Bidders must submit pricing only on the line items tab in the IonWave system. All shipping, handling, and associated fees must be included in the bid price. Bidders are required to use Energy Star compliant products when available. Green Seal certified products must be pre-approved by LFUCG prior to use. The successful bidder may also be asked to extend pricing to other principals within the Bluegrass Partnership for a Green Community.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for one year from acceptance, with an option for automatic renewal for up to three additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance
All products will be delivered to Lexington, Kentucky.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with local regulations regarding taxes and fees and maintain a current business license with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. They must adhere to affirmative action requirements including a minimum participation goal of 17% for certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs). Additionally, bidders must provide documentation of good faith efforts to include small and disadvantaged businesses in their proposals.
