EKU Campus Broadcasting Upgrade

Background
Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) is seeking to upgrade its video network infrastructure to enhance live television and video streaming capabilities across multiple designated venues.

The project aims to establish a robust system that adheres to SMPTE ST 2110 standards for AV-over-IP while accommodating legacy equipment. This upgrade is crucial for supporting the university's broadcasting needs and improving overall media production quality.

Work Details
The project involves upgrading the video network infrastructure to support live television and video streaming between various venues, including Alumni Coliseum, Roy Kidd Stadium, Greg Earle Combs Stadium, Gertrude Hood Field, the Adams Building, the Soccer Field, EKU Center for the Arts, and Perkins Building.

Control rooms will be established in Alumni Coliseum and Perkins. The system must be expandable and capable of integrating legacy baseband and analog equipment such as cameras, decks, closed-captioners, routers, and audio mixers.

The network will operate independently from EKU's existing IT data network with a connection point for software/firmware updates and hardware maintenance. EKU prefers direct purchase of equipment to leverage cost savings due to its tax-exempt status.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and run through June 30, 2025. It may be renewed for up to four consecutive one-year periods, with a total contract duration not exceeding five years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations on the Eastern Kentucky University campus including Alumni Coliseum, Roy Kidd Stadium, Greg Earle Combs Stadium, Gertrude Hood Field, the Adams Building, the Soccer Field, EKU Center for the Arts, and Perkins Building.
