Demolition Svc Kenton County P. 53, 56, & 177

Background
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, through the Division of Right of Way and Utilities, is issuing this solicitation for demolition services related to properties located in Kenton County. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the removal of various structures as part of the Brent Spence Bridge project, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the demolition and proper disposal of improvements on three parcels:

1. Parcel 53: Removal of a 1,121 square feet 1.5 story single-family residence, 500 square feet of concrete (sidewalk and porch), a 579 square feet unfinished basement, bushes, trees, and approximately 165 linear feet of fencing at 605 West 11th Street, Covington, KY.

2. Parcel 56: Removal of a 173 square feet shed made of concrete block with a rubber membrane roof at 608 West 11th Street, Covington, KY. The single-family residence on this parcel is not to be disturbed.

3. Parcel 177: Two buildings to be demolished:
- Building 1: A commercial building measuring 3,780 square feet (1,095 square feet office area and 2,685 square feet auto service area) including two hydraulic lifts that must be removed along with any stained soil. Located at 669 West 3rd Street, Covington, KY.
- Building 2: A larger commercial building measuring approximately 12,160 square feet (10,560 square feet first floor with warehouse and office space) at 670 West 4th Street. This building has a common wall with an adjacent property that must not be disturbed.
- Additional structures include an approximate 6,000 square feet warehouse at the same address as Building 1 which also requires demolition.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to conclude after all demolition activities are completed satisfactorily. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
Demolition services will take place in Covington, Kentucky specifically at the addresses mentioned for each parcel:
605 West 11th Street;
608 West 11th Street;
and both buildings located at
669 and 670 West 4th Street.
