CM Services for Improve UK Healthcare Pavilion H Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic

Background
The University of Kentucky is seeking a qualified construction management firm to provide full-service construction management for the renovation of Pavilion H, specifically the Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic. This project aims to enhance healthcare services for high-risk obstetric patients by transforming an existing 10,000 square feet space into a modern clinic equipped with various medical services. The total project budget is approximately $4 million, with around $675,000 allocated for construction management services and trade contracts.

Work Details
The selected Construction Manager (CM) will be responsible for:
1. Providing full-service construction management throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Assisting in the design and construction phases to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and program requirements.
3. Managing trade contracts, ensuring that at least ten separate trade contracts are established.
4. Overseeing renovations that include new finishes, walls, floors, doors, plumbing fixtures, minor HVAC modifications, and controls upgrades.
5. Offering services such as ultrasound, amniocentesis procedures, fetal non-stress test monitoring, genetic counseling, and telemedicine consults within the clinic.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will cover preconstruction phases with potential continuation into subsequent phases based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital Pavilion H located in Lexington, Kentucky.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the University’s General Conditions and Special Conditions for Construction as outlined in the RFP. They must also be registered with the Kentucky Department of Revenue to collect sales tax and must not have any conflicts of interest as per KRS regulations.
