Class B Police Uniforms

Background
The University of Kentucky Police Department is seeking proposals for customized replacement duty uniforms. The goal is to provide durable, readily available uniforms that maintain consistent color and style throughout their lifespan. These uniforms will be used for outfitting new police officers and replacing worn uniforms for over 50 sworn personnel. The department emphasizes the importance of blending new uniforms with existing ones without noticeable differences.

Work Details
The contract includes the supply of Class B police uniforms consisting of uniform shirts, trousers, coats, and leather gear. Specific requirements include:
- Class B uniform shirt similar to the Flying Cross Core Flex Hybrid Uniform B-Class Shirt in LAPD navy.
- Class B trousers similar to the Flying Cross Core Flex Uniform B-Class Cargo Pant in LAPD navy.
- Vest cover similar to the Flying Cross Exodefender Vest Cover in LAPD navy.
- Coat similar to the 5.11 Tactical Series 5-in-1 Jacket in black.
- All leather gear must be black, basket weave style with hidden snaps.

Each vest cover must have a name strip with the officer's last name embroidered above the right pocket. The contractor must ensure that all items can be ordered regardless of quantity and delivered within a reasonable timeframe. An online portal for employees to order pre-approved apparel is also required.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue as needed for uniform replacements, with specific timelines for delivery outlined during the RFP process.

Place of Performance
The uniforms will be delivered to the University of Kentucky Police Department located at 411 S Limestone, Room 322 Peterson Service Building, Lexington, KY 40506-0005.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be legally entitled to enter into contracts with the University of Kentucky and comply with all applicable laws. They should also be registered with the Kentucky Department of Revenue for tax purposes. The proposal must include a signed Authentication of Proposal and Statement of Non-Collusion and Non-Conflict of Interest.
