Boots and Footwear

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Finance and Administration Cabinet on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals for Boots and Footwear.

The goal is to award one contract that will serve all state agencies, ensuring they have access to quality footwear that meets their diverse needs.

Work Details
The vendor must provide a variety of men's and women's boots and footwear, including steel toe, safety toe, waterproof, insulated, and tactical/law enforcement styles.

Options for wide widths and diabetic needs are also required. Brands specified include Ariat, Avenger, Bates/Wolverine, Bogs, Carolina, Danner, Durango, Hoss, Justin, Keen, Merrell, Muck, Red Wing, Reebok, Rocky, Salomon, Thorogood, and Timberland.

All items must be new and of high quality with proper care instructions. The vendor will also provide on-site sizing using a mobile 'Shoe Truck' for locations with ten or more employees. Orders must be accepted in writing with proper documentation and processed promptly. The vendor is responsible for delivery logistics including packaging and returns.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be for two years from the effective date of the award. There are options to renew for four additional two-year periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within the Commonwealth of Kentucky for all state agencies and political subdivisions.
