2026 Fall Protection Systems Installation

Background
The Kenton County Airport Board (KCAB) is issuing a solicitation for the 2026 Fall Protection Systems Installation project at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The goal of this contract is to enhance safety measures through the installation of fall protection systems in compliance with ANSI/ASSP Z359.6 standards. This project aims to mitigate fall hazards in various locations within the airport facilities.

Work Details
The project consists of three distinct bid packages designed by LJB, Inc.:

1. **Bid Package 1: Storm Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) Fall Protection Components & Confined Space Equipment** - This package includes providing fall arrest systems at the Sludge Holding Tank, Digesters, Clarifiers, and Splitter Box. Specific tasks include:
- Installation of davit arms and bases for access and retrieval.
- Modifications to existing guardrails and platforms for improved access.
- Construction of new access platforms around tanks with corresponding davit bases.

2. **Bid Package 2: T3 Parking Deck Fall Protection Components** - This package involves:
- Installation of fall protection railings, gates, roof markings, and access ladders as specified.

3. **Bid Package 3: Concourse A Roof Fall Protection Components** - This includes:
- Comprehensive installation of fall protection systems across the entire Concourse A Roof, addressing identified hazards from a previous risk assessment.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence following the award and will be completed by April 2027.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Boone County, Kentucky.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Proposal Bond of at least 5% of the total main bid amount. The solicitation encourages participation from disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) and requires compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
