Woodlawn Blvd reconstruction from Winding Ln to 55th St

Background
The City of Derby, Kansas is issuing a solicitation for the reconstruction of Woodlawn Blvd from Winding Ln to 55th St.
The project aims to improve roadway infrastructure in Derby, Sedgwick County, Kansas.

Work Details
The contract involves various construction tasks including:
- General Items: Clearing and Grubbing (1 LS), Landscaping (1 LS), Traffic Control (1 LS), Pavement Marking (1 LS), Signage (1 LS), Seeding (1 LS), Reset Section Corner (1 LS).
- Earthwork: Unclassified Excavation (7,061 CY).
- Roadway & Sidewalk: Pavement/Subgrade Removal (9,802 SY), Sidewalk Removal (943 SF), 5" Asphaltic Concrete with 3" Bituminous Base (11,700 SY), Crushed Rock Base with Geogrid Reinforcement (15,001 SY), Valley Gutter (898 SY), Driveway Pavement in Concrete (523 SF), Gravel Driveway (39 SY), Combined Curb and Gutter (5,974 LF), Sidewalk (10,945 SF), Truncated Dome Surfacing (100 SF), Adjust Valve Box (12 EA), Fire Hydrant Adjustment (1 EA).
- Stormwater Management: Removal of Existing Storm Sewer Structures (1 LS) and various sizes of Storm Water Sewer Pipe including 15" RCP (203 LF), 18" RCP (1,289 LF), 24" RCP (439 LF), 36" RCP (39 LF) and additional sizes up to 60"x38". Curb Inlets and Stormwater Manholes are also included in the scope.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2026.

The construction will take place on Woodlawn Blvd from Winding Ln to 55th St in Derby, Sedgwick County, Kansas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 regarding nondiscrimination in employment.
Proposals must include a certified or cashier’s check or bid bond amounting to at least five percent of the proposal value.
Checks should be made payable to the City of Derby and drawn on a solvent Kansas Bank or Trust Company.
