The City of Topeka is seeking Vendors to provide services for our occupational health program with components that include pre-employment medical examinations, annual medical examinations, fitness for duty evaluations, vaccinations, alcohol & drug screenings, base line & annual audiology, and exposure protocols workers' compensation injury care; as well as after hours, weekends, and emergency services including post-accident alcohol & drug screenings, injury care, and exposure protocols.
Background
The City of Topeka is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive occupational health services as part of its occupational health program. The goal of this contract is to ensure the health and safety of city employees through various medical examinations, screenings, and emergency services. The City aims to maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure that all services are coordinated with the Human Resources Department and Risk Management.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide a range of occupational health services including:
1. Pre-Employment Medical Examinations for specified employee groups.
2. Annual Medical Examinations for Fire Fighters, including pre/post-offer physicals.
3. Fitness-for-Duty Evaluations and Return-to-Duty Determinations following personal or occupational injury/illness.
4. Drug and Alcohol Screenings, including post-accident testing available after hours, on weekends, and holidays.
5. Vaccinations according to City guidelines for specified employee groups.
6. Workers’ Compensation Injury Care, including after-hours service and exposure protocols.
7. Audiology services including baseline and annual hearing tests for specified employee groups.
8. Medical Examinations for Commercial Drivers as required by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Additional requirements include providing all necessary healthcare professionals, materials, equipment, and supplies; ensuring compliance with relevant regulations; maintaining confidentiality; and coordinating care with third-party providers as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed for an initial period of one year from the date of signing, with options to renew for four additional one-year periods based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in Topeka, Kansas.
