Larned State Hospital Building Demolition Projects

Background
The Larned State Hospital, part of the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services, is seeking competitive bids for the demolition of the Gheel, Capper, and Lee Buildings located on its campus.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and efficient demolition of these structures as part of the hospital's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve its facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:
- Demolish the Gheel, Capper, and Lee buildings;
- Provide all labor and materials necessary for proper demolition;
- Dispose of debris in accordance with regulations;
- Restore the grounds as specified in the contract documents.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on April 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Larned State Hospital. Bidders must submit lump sum bid prices for each building's demolition, including creating a waste disposal site for demolition debris.

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe following the start date.
