Background
Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is a comprehensive, public, two-year institution of higher education located in Overland Park, Kansas. Established in 1969, JCCC serves approximately 35,000 students and is dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening communities through learning.
The college's Investment Committee oversees the investment of assets related to its retirement plans, which include the 403(b) Plan and the 457(b) Tax Deferred Retirement Plan. This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to retain a qualified Investment Consultant to serve as a fiduciary and investment manager for the Plans' Core Funds, aiming to enhance performance and provide meaningful reporting.
Work Details
The selected Investment Consultant/Manager will be responsible for:
1. Serving as a fiduciary and investment manager for the Core Funds of JCCC's retirement plans.
2. Selecting, evaluating, and monitoring the performance of the Core Funds offered under the Plans.
3. Collaborating with the Investment Committee to develop a reporting framework that provides timely information.
4. Meeting quarterly with the Investment Committee to review performance results and collaborate on action plans.
5. Assisting in developing, reviewing, and revising investment policies for the Plans.
6. Monitoring Plan fees and providing educational materials to participants regarding investment options.
Period of Performance
The initial term of this Agreement shall be one (1) year with options for four (4) additional one-year extensions upon annual notice from JCCC.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Johnson County Community College located at 12345 College Blvd., Overland Park, KS 66210.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate qualifications in investment management specifically for higher education institutions and non-ERISA plans. They should provide evidence of past performance with similar clients, including case studies and references. Additionally, bidders must comply with all terms outlined in the RFP including insurance requirements and conflict of interest disclosures.
