Downtown Two-Way Street Conversion - Concrete Street Repair - Phase 4

Background
The City of Wichita is seeking bids for construction services related to the Downtown Two-Way Street Conversion project, specifically focusing on concrete street repair as part of Phase 4. This initiative is part of the Public Works & Utilities Department's efforts to enhance urban infrastructure and improve traffic flow in the downtown area.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various construction tasks including:
1. Mobilization (1 LS)
2. Traffic Control (1 LS)
3. Concrete Pavement/Driveway/Curb Repair:
- 8" Reinforced Concrete Pavement Repair (671 SY)
- 8" Concrete Driveway Repair (450 SF)
- Mono Curb (190 LF)
4. Driveway Removal:
- Combined Curb & Gutter Removal and Replacement (365 LF)
- Driveway Removed & Sidewalk Replaced (808 SF)
- Driveway Removed & Backfilled (1,960 SF). The work includes all costs associated with removing and reconstructing existing pavement, driveways, and curbs, as well as site restoration.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence 30 calendar days after contract award and must be completed within 30 working days from the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The project will take place in downtown Wichita, specifically along Main, Market, Topeka, Emporia, and English streets.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years' experience in similar services, be registered with the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office prior to contract execution, and have the capacity to acquire all necessary bonds and insurances. They must also comply with local, state, and federal laws applicable to public contracts.
