Bid Guardrails, Stairs, Mezzanine Lyons

Background
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is seeking bids for the installation and provision of materials for guardrails, stairs, and a mezzanine at their Lyons location.
The project aims to enhance safety and accessibility at the facility located at 210 15th Road, Lyons, Kansas, 67554.

Work Details
The contractor will provide materials and construct the following:
- 1 set of stairs, landing, and guardrail;
- a guardrail for the mezzanine that includes a removable section for access.
All components must be painted with an epoxy base paint by the vendor.
The contractor is responsible for all equipment, materials, labor, and incidentals necessary to perform the work as outlined in the plans.
KDOT will provide a portable restroom onsite.
Work hours are to be scheduled between 7 AM to 3:30 PM from Monday to Friday.
The contract requires completion within 30 working days after the contract award and preconstruction meeting.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and completion of a preconstruction meeting, with a total duration of 30 working days.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must obtain a current Tax Clearance Certificate from the Kansas Department of Revenue prior to submitting their bid.
Additionally, attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference on May 6, 2025, at 11:30 AM at the job site is required.
Bidders must also comply with all federal and state laws regarding immigration reform.
