AB-3 Rock

Background
Sedgwick County, located in south-central Kansas, is one of the most populous counties in the state with a population exceeding 514,000. The county provides a full range of municipal services including public safety, public works, and education.

The purpose of this Request for Bid (RFB #25-0060) is to solicit bids for AB-3 Rock to support the Sedgwick County Public Works department.

Work Details
The contractor will provide AB-3 Rock (Crème Color) as an aggregate base material per KDOT Standard specifications, 2015 Edition, Division 1100, Section 113. Sedgwick County will pick up and haul the rock from the plant site.

The pricing for this bid is strictly for the rock itself, and the county cannot guarantee the quantity ordered.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon approval by the Board of County Commissioners and will last for one year with two optional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Sedgwick County, Kansas, with specific pickup locations to be determined based on the plant site.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have proper certifications or licenses for the services/products specified. They must ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and have the capacity to acquire necessary permits and insurance.

Additionally, bidders are required to provide proof of insurance with a minimum BEST rating of A-VIII and must acknowledge receipt of any addenda related to this bid.
