Description

The City of Columbus is seeking quotes for the modernization of the traffic signal at the intersection of 10th and Whitfield, as part of Project #25-23. The scope of work involves making public improvements specifically related to the traffic signal at this location. All work must be completed by March 30, 2026. Failure to meet this deadline will result in liquidated damages of $100 per calendar day, excluding weekends and holidays, deducted from any payments due to the Contractor. Additionally, the Contractor will be required to obtain a Request for Special Use of Right of Way for any closures involving streets, traffic lanes, alleys, parking spaces, or sidewalks, as outlined at www.columbus.in.gov. The City of Columbus is the entity requesting these services. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote for the above-named public improvement project. Quotes must be submitted exclusively through the electronic bidding system, Ion Wave Technologies. No mailed, emailed, faxed, hand-delivered, or late responses will be accepted. Submitted quotes will be opened and reviewed at the City of Columbus' Board of Public Works and Safety (BPWS) meeting on the morning of the published closing date. After verifying the lowest responsive and responsible quote, an award will be made at the next BPWS meeting. The City of Columbus reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. The signed Quote Form will serve as the contract. Along with the contract, a fully executed Comprehensive Compliance Form (CCF) and a copy of the Certificate of Liability Insurance must be submitted. Insurance coverage is required in an amount not less than $300,000 for any one person and not less than $1,000,000 for any one accident.
