Underground Electric Replacement

Background
The City of Geneva Electric Division is issuing a solicitation for the FY 2025-26 Underground Electric Replacement Contract.

The project aims to enhance the electric distribution infrastructure within various subdivisions in Geneva, Illinois, by replacing outdated systems with new installations. The goal is to ensure reliable electric service through modernized underground cable systems.

Work Details
The project involves the following key tasks:

- Abandoning old cable
- Installing primary cable through conduit in various Geneva subdivisions
- Installing new conduits (including poly, PVC, and rigid types)

Additional work includes splicing to replace existing distribution circuits and the installation of transformers, pedestals, modcans, and street lights. All work must comply with the specifications prepared by the City of Geneva Electric Utility.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeframe specified by the Owner in the Proposal.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in various subdivisions within the City of Geneva, Illinois.
