Unarmed Security Services at JTDC (RFP)

Background
The Cook County government is seeking proposals for unarmed security services at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC) under RFP No. 2610-02203. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and security of the facility, aligning with the county's mission to provide a safe environment for youth in custody.

Work Details
The contractor will provide unarmed security services, including but not limited to:
- Staffing positions such as 1st Shift Officer, 1st Shift Specialist, 2nd Shift Officer, 2nd Shift Specialist, 3rd Shift Officer, and 3rd Shift Specialist.
- Each position will require a specified number of hours per week (8 hours per day for full-time employees), totaling 2912 hours annually per position.
- Additional costs may include background checks and drug testing, estimated at $5000.
- Proposers must itemize all costs associated with their proposed solution in an Excel format, including any cost of living adjustments for subsequent years.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of three years, with annual renewals subject to cost adjustments based on inflation or other factors as specified in the proposal.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center located in Cook County, Illinois.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must complete and submit an Identification of Subcontractor/Supplier/Subconsultant Form with their proposal. They are required to demonstrate good faith efforts to include minority and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBE) in their subcontracting plans. Additionally, bidders must comply with Cook County's procurement regulations regarding M/WBE participation.
