Turner Avenue Fence Replacement

Background
The Village of Elk Grove Village is issuing this contract for the removal and replacement of fencing located in a public utility easement bordered by both Village-owned and private properties. The goal of the contract is to enhance the safety and aesthetics of the area by replacing old fencing with new materials.

Work Details
The work includes:
- Remove and salvage approximately 112 feet of plastic fence.
- Remove and dispose of approximately 538 feet of wooden fence.
- Furnish and install approximately 810 feet of 6-foot molded polyethylene plastic panel fence.
- Reestablish side-yard fence connections.
- Excavate post holes.
- Cut and patch asphalt at posts installed in pavement.
- Restore landscape disturbance.
- Coordinate work schedule with property owners.
- Complete other appurtenant work necessary to fulfill project requirements in accordance with the exhibits, details, Standard Specifications, and Special Provisions.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid opening on July 29, 2025, with specific timelines to be determined during the pre-bid meeting.

The project will be performed within the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois, specifically along Turner Avenue, bordered by commercial properties to the north and residential properties to the south and west.

Bidder Requirements
All bidders must be prequalified prior to receiving bid proposal packets. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place on July 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM local time at the project site. Bidders must submit their proposals in a sealed envelope addressed to the Public Works Department.
