Request for Bids for High Performance Cold Mix

Background
The Village of Northbrook is seeking bids for High Performance Cold Mix to be used for temporary utility restorations and street patching. This initiative is part of the Village's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve public infrastructure.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide the following materials:

1. 150 tons of 'High Performance Cold Mix' patching material (Sylvax, UPM, or equivalent) Winter Blend, inclusive of delivery.
2. 30 tons of 'High Performance Cold Mix' patching material (Sylvax, UPM, or equivalent) Summer Blend, inclusive of delivery.

All materials must conform to the latest revision of the 'Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction' published by the Illinois Department of Transportation. The vendor is responsible for delivering materials to the Village’s facility, and prices must include all delivery/transportation costs.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Village’s facility located at 655 Huehl Road, Northbrook, IL 60062.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide certificates of insurance evidencing minimum coverage requirements within 10 days following acceptance of the request. Insurance requirements include: Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability; Business Automobile Liability; Commercial General Liability; Umbrella Liability; and naming the Village as an Additional Insured on relevant policies.
