Replacement and renovation of parking lots and driveways at Springfield Flagship DMV

Background
The Illinois Secretary of State is seeking bids for the renovation and replacement of parking lots and driveways at the Springfield Flagship DMV. This project aims to improve the infrastructure and accessibility of the site, aligning with the agency's mission to provide efficient services to the public. The work will involve significant site improvements, including pavement removal and installation, drainage systems, and lighting enhancements.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for full depth removal of existing pavements and subsequent repaving with 5" & 8" PCC pavement on a 4" & 6" aggregate sub-base. The improvements include:

- New storm drainage work
- PCC sidewalk pavement with 4" aggregate sub-base
- PCC curb and gutter with 4" & 6" aggregate sub-base
- New electrical light fixtures
- Other miscellaneous items.

The existing parking lot consists of Hot-Mix Asphalt over composite pavement. All work must comply with the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall complete all work included in the Contract Documents within 450 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Illinois Secretary of State Building located on Dirksen Parkway in Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must ensure compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations governing the work. They are required to list all subcontractors that will be employed as part of a state contract along with their Federal Employee Identification Numbers or Social Security Numbers on the bid form. Additionally, bidders must not have any delinquent debts owed to state agencies.
