Repair & Refinish Terrazzo Flooring

Background
The Illinois Secretary of State (SOS) is seeking bids from responsible vendors to repair and refinish terrazzo flooring at their facility located at 2701 S Dirksen Pkwy, Springfield, IL 62723.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the flooring is restored to a high standard as part of the agency's maintenance efforts.

Work Details
The vendor will be responsible for repairing and refinishing 850 square feet of terrazzo tile in the entryway. Specific tasks include:

- Removing mastic
- Refinishing the existing terrazzo floor and cove base using a diamond grinding/polishing process
- Applying a terrazzo sealer to the refinished surface

A hand grinder will be required for work inside a revolving door located at the entryway. Although no patchwork is needed, there are a few gouges that must be repaired. The vendor will have access to a dumpster on-site for waste disposal. Work hours are set from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence upon execution and run through June 30, 2025. All work must be completed no later than April 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Illinois Secretary of State's facility located at 2701 S Dirksen Pkwy, Springfield, IL 62723.
