QUOTE - Aurora, IL Fire Station 3 Carpet Replacement

Background
The City of Aurora Fire Department is seeking qualified contractors to complete a flooring upgrade at Fire Station 3. The goal is to replace existing carpeted areas with durable, commercial-grade carpet tile and new rubber cove base, covering approximately 1,044 square feet across key operational and living spaces. This project aims to install a modern, low-maintenance flooring system suitable for a high-traffic, 24/7 emergency response environment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal of existing carpet, adhesives, and transition strips, as well as the removal of existing rubber cove base in all project areas. The project includes surface preparation, installation of new commercial-grade carpet tiles (modular carpet squares), and installation of new rubber cove base. Specific work areas include:

- Medic Office Area: 10' x 12' (120 SF)
- Main TV / Recreation Area: 24' x 20' (480 SF)
- Hallway (North End): 5' x 20' (100 SF)
- North Stairs & Map Room: 8' x 18' (144 SF)
- Station Office: 10' x 20' (200 SF)

Total Estimated Carpet Tile Area: 1,044 square feet. The contractor must ensure proper alignment and tight seams during installation and conduct a final inspection with the Owner's representative upon completion.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue until the completion of the project.

Fire Station 3, Aurora, Illinois.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed and insured to perform work in the State of Illinois. They should demonstrate experience with commercial or municipal flooring projects and comply with all OSHA safety regulations. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of insurance and licensing, references for similar completed projects, and comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act.
