Background
The Illinois Secretary of State is seeking bids for the installation of a new boiler at their Chicago West facility located at 5301 W. Lexington St., Chicago, IL 60644. The project aims to replace an existing water tube boiler with two condensing boilers of the same capacity, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and safety regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. All materials, equipment, supplies, labor, disposal services, incidentals, tools, and transportation to the Chicago West facility.
2. Removal and replacement of the existing water tube boiler with two condensing boilers.
3. Removal of any abandoned piping, conduits, and ductwork.
4. Modifying and extending the housekeeping pad under the existing boiler to accommodate new boilers.
5. Furnishing and installing circuit breakers to match existing installations.
6. Sealing and filling openings after equipment removal.
7. Patching and painting to match existing conditions post-removal of equipment.
8. Compliance with all applicable building codes during execution of work as per fixed unit price project schedule.
9. Scheduling location services if required.
10. Performing work during normal business hours (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM) unless otherwise arranged.
11. Properly removing and disposing of all debris related to their work.
12. Implementing safety measures to protect building occupants and visitors.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term upon execution for four years, with a maximum total term not exceeding ten years.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the State of Illinois Capital Development Board for the type of service specified and have documented experience specializing in commercial boiler installation for at least ten years.
