Background
The State of Illinois, through the Central Management Services, is seeking to establish a lawn care services contract for two locations in Olney, IL. The purpose of this contract is to maintain the appearance and public perception of state facilities, which are frequented by many individuals conducting business with the State. The contract aims to ensure that the grounds are well-maintained to protect the state's investment in its facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive lawn care services including:

- Mowing turf to a height of 2-3 inches
- Controlling broadleaf weeds with sprays
- Applying pre-emergent crabgrass control in spring
- Monthly leaf and clipping removal during October and November
- Edging turf adjacent to walks and beds as needed
- Maintaining all beds weed-free through integrated pest management

Additionally, shrubs will be pruned twice per season, and trees under 8" trunk diameter will be pruned as necessary. A general spring cleanup may be provided upon request. All work must be performed by trained personnel using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on April 1, 2026, or upon execution and will end on March 31, 2031. The total term of the contract shall not exceed ten years including any renewals or extensions.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at L4455 located at 1112 S. West Street Olney, IL 62450 and L6632 located at 1406 Martin Street, Olney, IL 62450.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must maintain all necessary licenses and permits throughout the contract duration. They are required to provide proof of insurance covering liability and workers' compensation within five days of contract execution. Vendors must also comply with prevailing wage laws where applicable and ensure that all employees are covered under their Workman Compensation Plan.
