IVHQ- FY25- FY29 Fire Alarm Monitoring Services

Background
The Quincy Illinois Veterans Home is seeking a contractor to provide Fire Alarm Monitoring Services for a five-year period. The agency's mission is to ensure the safety and security of its facilities, which include 29 buildings on the main campus and Hammond Hall. The goal of this contract is to establish a reliable monitoring system that complies with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standards, ensuring immediate response to fire alarms.

Work Details
The contractor will provide central station monitoring of the fire alarm systems for all buildings on the main campus and Hammond Hall. This includes:
- Monitoring services for 28 buildings equipped with Simplex Grinnell panels and one building with an Edwards panel.
- Daily auto-tests of the fire alarm and security alarm systems to ensure functionality.
- Immediate notification to appropriate authorities in case of emergency situations.
- Programming of fire alarm panels will be handled by proprietary vendors, and costs for programming are not included in the bid price.
- The contract will cover five years, with billing based only on monitoring services provided during each month. Two new buildings under construction will be added to the billing as they come online.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will last for five years, covering Year 1 through Year 5.
