ISD LHF Bus 66 passenger

Background
The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a vendor to provide a 66 passenger school bus with a wheelchair lift for the Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD).
The goal of this contract is to facilitate the transportation of students for scheduled home visits and school-related events throughout the school year.

Work Details
The vendor shall provide one (1) 66 passenger school bus that meets the minimum specifications of either a Thomas Safe-T-Liner conventional bus with a 277" wheelbase or a Blue Bird RE Conventional Bus with a 273" wheelbase, or equivalent models.
The bus must include:
- Air ride driver seat with twin arms and a minimum of 28" knee space.
- Separate driver dome light switch, sun visor, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cup holder, radio and speakers throughout the bus with controls.
- Two electric fans for front windows and remote control side mirrors (European Style heated).
- Overhead storage in driver's compartment, at least two air conditioning units and two heating units.
- Engine block heater, 5 or 6 speed automatic Allison 3000 Series transmission or equivalent.
- Auxiliary coolant heater, roll-out battery tray, air suspension, safety belt ready configuration with belts supplied but not installed.
- Weatherproof storage under the side of the bus with security/locking feature.
- Heavy-duty defroster for the front window, power steering, air disc brakes, light check system, and a 100-gallon fuel tank.
- Mud flaps on front and rear, vandal locks on all doors, tinted passenger windows, heavy-duty crossing arm with wind deflectors installed.
- Emergency roof hatch and strobe light.
- Tow hooks on front and rear.
- Three camera systems installed in each bus: one facing back from the front, one facing front from the back, and one in the middle facing back; includes docking station and software.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed throughout the school year as needed for scheduled home visits and school-related events.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Illinois, specifically for transporting students from the Illinois School for the Deaf.
