IDOC SWICC Fork Lift Rental/Lease

Background
The Illinois Department of Corrections, through the Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center, is seeking to establish a one-year lease contract for an electric stand-up forklift. The goal of this contract is to support daily operations at the facility by providing necessary equipment.

Work Details
The contract involves leasing one electric stand-up forklift, which includes installation, uninstallation, delivery, maintenance, repair, and pickup. The preferred specifications for the forklift are YALE ESC030-40AD or TOYOTA SR1-BET30, or an agency-approved equivalent with a minimum capacity of 3000 lbs.

The dimensions should be approximately 66.3-78.6 inches in length, 41-46 inches in width, and 88 inches in height. The lease must include all operational items such as the charger. The vendor is responsible for delivering and picking up the forklift from the Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center and must conduct monthly service inspections and maintenance as required.

Non-emergency issues must be addressed within three business days, while emergency issues must be responded to within 24 hours. The vendor must provide contact information for a responsible representative for emergencies.

Period of Performance
The term of this contract is one year, starting from the date of delivery of the forklift to the facility.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center located at 950 N Kingshighway, East St. Louis, IL 62203.

Bidder Requirements
The vendor must carry property damage and public liability insurance with specified coverage amounts and provide a certificate of insurance upon contract execution. No subcontracting is allowed under this contract.
