IDOC SWICC Dietary Hood and ANSUL Inspection and Cleaning Contract

Background
The Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center, part of the Illinois Department of Corrections, is seeking a vendor to provide essential services related to the inspection and cleaning of dietary hoods and ANSUL systems. The goal is to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain operational efficiency in the facility's kitchen area.

Work Details
The vendor will be responsible for conducting semi-annual inspections and cleanings of the dietary hood suppression system located in the Dietary kitchen area. This includes:

- Annual cleaning of one double hood and one single hood with two exhaust fans, adhering to NFPA-96 standards.
- Cleaning tasks include wiping out, scraping, and polishing the entire hood area and accessible ductwork.
- Exterior cleaning of fans, including flipping them to clean the underside if possible.
- Ensuring that all inspections comply with NFPA regulations performed by a certified professional.
- Providing a report upon completion of each inspection to the Chief Engineer and Business Administrator at the facility.
- All necessary licenses, certifications, permits, and insurances for ANSUL and kitchen hood cleaning are the responsibility of the vendor.

Period of Performance
The contract has an initial term of five (5) years, commencing upon execution unless otherwise specified.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center located at 950 N Kingshighway, East St. Louis, IL 62203.

Bidder Requirements
The vendor must possess all necessary licenses and insurance related to ANSUL suppression inspection and hood cleaning. Background checks will be required for all vendor personnel prior to service commencement. Subcontracting is not allowed.
