Background
The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) is issuing this contract for the Centralia Correctional Center to secure a qualified vendor for dietary equipment repair and maintenance services.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that all dietary equipment at the facility is maintained in good working order, thereby supporting the center's mission to provide safe and effective food services to its residents.
Work Details
The contractor will provide general and emergency repair and maintenance services for all dietary equipment at the Centralia Correctional Center. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Banquet Heated Cart (1 unit, Metro)
- Electric Commercial Griddle (1 unit, Imperial)
- Braising Pan (1 unit, Crown)
- Electric Griddle (1 unit, Vulcan)
- Ice Machines (2 units, Manitowoc)
- Heavy Duty Manual Slicer (3 units, Globe 3600 & Waring)
- Fryers (2 units, Keating & Pitco)
- Dishwashers (1 unit, Stero STPC-21)
- Ovens (3 units: 1 Full Size Electric Oven - Cleveland CCE-46; 2 Double-Stack Convection Ovens - Vulcan; 2 Roll Around Hot Boxes - Metro C5 T-Series)
- Refrigerators and Coolers (6 units: 3 Double-Door Refrigerators - True TS49; 1 Single-Door Refrigerator - True TS Series; 3 Walk-In Coolers/Freezers - Bohn & McQuay).
Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for providing all labor, tools, test equipment, and materials necessary for routine repairs, preventative maintenance, emergency services, and installations as required by authorized facility personnel. All service work must be preapproved prior to execution.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will last for a period of two years.
Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Centralia Correctional Center located at 9330 Shattuc Road, Centralia, IL 62801.

Vendors must comply with various certifications including but not limited to: being a legal entity authorized to conduct business in Illinois; maintaining all necessary licenses; ensuring no subcontracting of labor; providing a drug-free workplace; and complying with prevailing wage laws. Vendors must also submit names and details of employees for security background checks prior to commencing work.
