Description

Background
The Illinois Tollway is seeking electronic submissions for contract I-21-4743 for the Elgin O'Hare Western Access (I-490) Roadway and Bridge Construction. The work includes roadway and interchange construction, bridge construction, ramp construction, local road improvements, retaining walls, drainage, guardrail and barrier wall installation, intelligent transportation systems infrastructure, toll plaza facilities, permanent roadway lighting, signing and pavement markings, erosion and sediment control, landscaping, fencing, earthwork, and maintenance of traffic. Bidders may need to be pre-qualified by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and registered with the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR).

Work Details
The work to be done under this contract shall be started on or about August 19, 2024. All work under this contract shall be completed by October 1, 2026.
The location of services to be performed is the Elgin O'Hare Western Access (I-490) between Mile Post 0.0 and Mile Post 0.6 in Cook County, Illinois.
