EMERGENCY NOTICE - Statewide Health Care Services

Background
The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) is responsible for the management and care of individuals in custody. Due to the urgent need for uninterrupted healthcare services, IDOC selected Centurion of Illinois, LLC to replace its previous provider, Wexford Health Sources, Inc. This decision followed unsuccessful contract negotiations with Wexford and was made under emergency authority to ensure adequate healthcare during the transition period.

Work Details
Centurion is tasked with providing comprehensive medical, dental, vision, audiology, pharmaceutical, and mental health services for individuals in custody at specified State correctional centers. Services will be delivered on-site and off-site as necessary at local hospitals and outpatient facilities. The vendor will operate under the direction of the IDOC Medical Director and Chief of Mental Health Services.

- Danville
- Decatur
- Dixon
- East Moline
- Elgin
- Graham
- Hill
- Illinois River
- Jacksonville
- Joliet Treatment Center
- Joliet Inpatient Treatment Center
- Kewanee
- Lawrence
- Lincoln
- Logan
- Menard
- Murphysboro
- Pinckneyville
- Pontiac
- Robinson
- Shawnee
- Sheridan
- Southwestern
- Stateville
- Taylorville
- Vandalia
- Vienna
- Western Illinois.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on October 23, 2025 and conclude on January 20, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various correctional centers across the state of Illinois.

Bidder Requirements
Centurion is required to achieve a 20% participation goal for contractors certified under the Business Enterprise Program (BEP) during the extension term of the agreement. The Department will hold Centurion accountable for this goal and will work with them to identify certified BEP vendors as operations stabilize.
