Dixon Springs Swimming Pool Concession

Background
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is seeking a vendor to operate the Swimming Pool Concession at Dixon Springs State Park. The goal of this contract is to enhance visitor satisfaction and broaden the economic base of the region through high-quality visitor services.

Work Details
The vendor will be responsible for:
1. Daily admission to the pool;
2. Rental of the pool for groups;
3. Cleaning and maintenance of the pool and shower building;
4. Serving pre-packed food, frozen confections, and non-alcoholic beverages.

The concession must be open from the Saturday of Fourth of July Weekend through Labor Day Weekend in the first year, and from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend in subsequent years. Required hours of operation are daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with optional extended hours subject to approval.

The vendor must submit monthly documentation reporting gross receipts and pay a percentage due for reserve payments by the 25th of each month following operation. Additionally, the vendor must provide a Point-of-Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensure compliance with health regulations, maintain cleanliness, and provide certified lifeguards during operational hours.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will end on December 31, 2029, with options for renewal up to a total maximum term of ten years.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Illinois procurement regulations including having an active registration in the Illinois Procurement Gateway (IPG). The vendor must provide proof of insurance naming IDNR as an additional insured and comply with all local, state, and federal laws applicable to food service operations.
