Demolition Contractor Registration

Background
The City of Danville is seeking to maintain a list of qualified demolition contractors eligible to participate in its demolition program. The goal is to ensure that contractors possess the necessary financial resources and experience in demolition standards and practices to comply with city regulations.

Work Details
To qualify for inclusion on the list, contractors must meet specific requirements including:

1. Evidence of Insurance:
- Worker’s Compensation employers liability limits for coverage A is statutory and for coverage B is $1,000,000 each accident.
- Comprehensive General Liability policy with bodily injury limits of $1,000,000 each occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate; property damage limits of $500,000 each occurrence and aggregate or combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage of $1,000,000.
- Automobile Liability with bodily injury limits of $250,000 each person and $500,000 each accident; property damage limit of $1,000,000 each accident.
- Pollution Liability as required by the State of Illinois Department of Public Health for Lead Abatement Contractors.

2. Payment of Grant Fund Requirements (optional):
Contractors may need to register for a DUNS # and UEI # with SAM.gov if they wish to quote on government-funded projects.

3. Other Requirements:
Contractors must meet all City ordinances for demolitions, secure all necessary permits, be in good standing with federal and state agencies, and provide references from three governmental bodies or businesses where similar work has been performed.

Period of Performance
Contractors will remain on the Demolition Contractor list as long as their registration and insurance requirements are current. They must keep their records up-to-date with the City.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed within the City of Danville.
