DAT-Landscape Curbing and Site Work

Background
The contract is issued by the Illinois State Police for landscape curbing and site work at the Illinois State Police Academy and Pawnee Training Facility. The goal of this contract is to enhance the landscaping and maintenance of these facilities, ensuring they meet aesthetic and functional standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:

1. Concrete Landscape Curbing Installation: Approximately 675 feet of concrete curbing around the southwest side of the building at the Illinois State Police Academy, and approximately 12 ft x 10 ft ovals around entry signs at both facilities.

2. Bush/Tree Stump Removal: Removal of approximately 22 bushes and stumps, and approximately 20 tree stumps, with backfilling and new rock applied to cover stump removal sites.

3. Rock Bed Maintenance and Replacement: Existing river rock will remain; approximately 160 feet x 4 feet of orange decorative rock will be replaced with river rock matching existing sizes. New river rock will also be installed around entry signs at both facilities.

4. Edging Installation: New edging will extend approximately 12 feet from the perimeter of the Illinois State Police Academy building, designed to retain rock beds without disturbing them during maintenance activities.

Period of Performance
The contract is set to commence upon execution and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at two locations: Illinois State Police Academy, 3700 East Lakeshore Drive, Springfield, IL, and Pawnee Training Facility, 2376 Academy Road, Pawnee, IL.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with Standard Illinois Certifications throughout the contract term. They must have previous experience in concrete curbing processes, landscaping installation, and stump removal with proper disposal methods. Vendors are required to maintain appropriate insurance coverage for the duration of the project.
